Requirement:
Dundrum Town Centre is the largest
commercial development in Ireland and one of
the most comprehensive suburban regeneration
schemes ever undertaken in either Ireland or
the UK.

Incorporated into the 17 acre site is a 281,747sq.m
structure comprising 90,000sq.m retail area, 12-screen
multiplex cinema, 23,000sq.m office space, more than
30 restaurants, a 200-seat theatre, 27 apartments, medical
centre, day-care centre, adult education centre, pub,
and underground car-parking for 3500 cars.
During peak construction the site had in excess of 150
full time management personnel as well as an on-site
workforce of over 2000. Due to the scale of the build,
quality project office buildings were required.
Solution:
Lafferty Design, the site Project Managers, opted for
a Two Storey RoanPlan Modular Building which provided
them with state-of-the-art office accommodation.
The 700sq metre office complex was installed and operational
in less than six weeks. The building included a series
of open plan workstations, private offices, meeting
rooms, reception area toilet and shower facilities as
well as a full fitted canteen.
In addition to the project offices a state-of-the-art
marketing suite was also required. This suite would
promote the new centre; and crucially sell shop-units
off-plan before they were completed. Lafferty Design
needed a striking sales suite to reflect the quality
of the commercial space on offer & they once again
trusted RoanKabin to provide such a building.
